Read the story of Jonah in the Bible. It might be a little too long for little kids, so you can use this printable playset to act out the story instead:

Read 1 Nephi 3:7, and discuss it as a family. What does it mean that the Lord won't command us to do something before preparing a way to for us to accomplish it? How does this scripture apply to the story of Jonah?
